What is a client wardrobe?

If you book a portrait session with Murphy Photography, you gain automatic access to my client wardrobe for your session. This saves you time, money and the stress of finding the perfect outfit. Each item is carefully chosen to photograph beautifully. You can view and borrow the items prior to your session to try on and ensure others being photographed match in with your chosen colour and item.

How much does it cost?

The client wardrobe is a complementary service exclusively available to Murphy Photography portrait clients.

What items and sizes are available?

The client wardrobe is always being updated, but it features a range of beautiful maxi dresses and accessories. Sizes available are small, medium and large. Most pieces have been selected to work for various sizes – and to suit maternity or non-maternity sessions.

Do I have to use the client wardrobe?

No, of course not! If you’d prefer to wear your own clothing, that’s perfectly fine. Here’s some guidelines when selecting your clothing:

Yes to…

  • earthy tones

  • neutral/muted colours

  • denim jackets

  • bare feet

  • maxi dresses

  • linens, texture, lace

  • petite patterns

  • oversized jumpers (think texture!)

  • wide brim felt or straw hat

  • suspenders for (big + little) boys

  • flower crowns for (big + little) girls

No to…

  • bright colours

  • shirts/tops with logos or large writing

  • white shirts/tops (sand/beige photographs softer)

  • sneakers

  • “matchy” clothing – eg everyone wearing jeans and white t-shirts

  • dark colours for maternity sessions
